Job Description

Automotive Technician required for permanent, full-time role within a vehicle glass repair and replacement company in Weston-Super-Mare, BS23

  • £25,000 - £28,750 per annum, depending on experience
  • 8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday - 8.30am - 5.00pm Fridays
  • Plus, every other Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm
  • 30-minute break (unpaid) for each day you work 6 or more hours
  • 23 days per annum, plus bank holidays
  • Ongoing professional development throughout your career
  • Option to progress your career with a qualification in Automotive Glazing NVQ level 2 and 3
  • You may also be given training on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration
  • Free parking on site, or easily accessible by bus3, 62, 126, a3, x1
About the job
  • Meet and greet customers in a friendly, professional manner
  • Inspecting customer vehicles prior to work commencing
  • Cleaning and priming glass
  • Removing and replacing glass from vehicles
  • Fully and accurately completing job sheets, and recording information such as dates, batch numbers and signatures
  • Assisting in keeping the branch clean and tidy, including the workshop, reception, offices, toilets, restroom areas and the car park
  • Completing regular vehicle checks, with fuel and private mileage dockets on a weekly basis.
  • Checking all tools and equipment regularly, to ensure the tool kit is complete and in good order.
  • Ensure the correct collection of payments
The right candidate
  • Previous experience in a similar role like vehicle mechanic, window fitter, assembly, production or factory work
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
