Job Description

A Manufacturing Engineer for an exciting company, based in Kent, who are pioneers within their market. This role was created to help drive the business forward through LEAN methodology, identify issues existing and potential issues as well as using rootcause analysis.Client DetailsMy client, who are based in Kent, take innovation to the next level. Having pioneered new technology to make our lives smarter, theyre a forward thinking organisation who have clear growth plans in place.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements.
  • Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and work-flow.
  • Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and validation methods.
  • Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
  • Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports.
  • Analysing and reporting on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management.
  • Ensuring that the organisations manufacturing processes comply with relevant policies and government laws and regulations.
  • Supporting new product launches, reviewing, sourcing managing the costs of the different tools, jigs- fixtures and equipment in the production process and predicting the overheads in future production requirements.
  • Analysing and planning work-flow, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise manufacturing efficiency
  • Coordinating maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operational.
ProfileThe successful candidate will have:
  • A background in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
  • An in-depth knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
  • A high level of technical aptitude and have a strong background in engineering principles and their practical application.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • An understanding of CAD and ERP systems.
  • An analytical mindset.
  • An electromechanical or electrical background.
Job OfferOn offer is:
  • Circa £35,000 to £40,000.
  • Pension.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Health-care.
  • Early finish on Friday.
