Many of the rooms remain the same as when the Churchill family lived at Chartwell and todayit is our job to share the stories of their lives here as well as care for this much-loved home and their cherished possessions. Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing As the Head Gardener at Chartwell, you will be responsible for ensuring the garden is planned, managed, and developed in keeping with their historical, horticultural and aesthetic spirit.This role is a combination of strategy and planning, practical application,and people leadership. You will be able to help shape the future direction and aspirations for the gardens whilst collaborating with your peers and inspiring your team of staff and volunteers.Youll report directly to the portfolio-wide Garden & Outdoors Manager with whom youll assist with environmental policies, safety compliance, and have the opportunity to influence the programming and engagement within the gardens and parkland making thehistoric landscape relevant to new audiences and increase participation. You will also plan and manage the future development of the small townhouse garden at Quebec House, one of our other portfolio properties.This is an exciting opportunity to help make Chartwell and Quebec House a place where your team can increase their skills, achieve their potential, and where visitors can enjoy the beautiful surroundings for years to come.
