Emmetts Garden is an Edwardian plantsmans paradise with a shrub collection from around the world, and it attracts families, dog walkers and horticultural experts alike. Quebec House is a beautiful Georgian mansion that requires ongoingmaintenance and work to protect the incredible collection, and you would support all of these sites.As part of a strong Leadership team, youre supported by the General Manager as well as a knowledgeable Facilities Coordinator. We work closely together to achieve our ambitious targets, not only for conservation and protection of buildings, but also to reduce our carbon and improve our green practices.More information about these locations can be found here:Chartwell | National TrustEmmetts Garden | National Trust and Quebec House | National Trust What youll be doing As Facilities Manager, youll be leading a Facilities Coordinator as well as a team of volunteers, working alongside a Business Services Lead who supports the soft facilities. Youll be active from day to day, responding to reactive repairs, monitoring andcompleting compliance tasks, orchestrating works and delivering on small projects. Youll also have an office base from which to arrange contractors, track compliance and plan your teams delivery. Youll be working closely with the General Manager to deliverboth short-term requirements and long-term development plans, whilst running of all aspects of facilities management, making sure we are safe and compliant.For more information, please read the attached role profile and candidate pack Who were looking for

  • A strong understanding of the core principles and functions of hard and soft facilities management and maintenance; experience in a heritage or visitor attraction site is a plus
  • Excellent previous experience of broad compliance and risk management, including knowledge of Health & Safety, Emergency procedures and Fire & Security procedures
  • Relevant vocational experience, or professional qualification such as the Institute of Work and Facilities Management Member level 4 or 5 certificate, IOSH/NEBOSH certificate. Or a desire to pursue this
  • Experience of working with contractors and your own facilities team to get the best value for Chartwell portfolio and the National Trust
  • Outstanding organisational skills
  • Experience of managing budgets and delivering or managing small projects
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A desire to make a difference, show initiative and contribute to the core values of the Trust
