Job Description

My client is looking for a new Editor to support the delivery of materials that are compliant, accurate and meet the high standards expected by customers and clients; to mentor and train junior members of the Central Editorial Team (CET) and independently initiate necessary training in relation to editorial services/practices and processes; to assist in overseeing work schedules and resource planning.Main responsibilities:

  • Quality Control/editing undertaking detailed editing of drafts under the writer’s guidance - e.g., linguistic editing for correct use of English/word cutting
  • o Participates in knowledge sharing (e.g., writing weekly Group tips)
  • Delivery of editorial services
  • PowerPoint projects and tasks
  • Project management and adherence to process
  • Budgeting and scheduling
  • Main point of contact for project-related emails received in the team and manage responses, accordingly, acknowledging that most interactions will be with internal colleagues rather than external clients
  • Assists in mentoring/training junior members, provides training on PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of medical communications:
  • o Has broad experience in medical communications/a relevant agency/industry (e.g., publishing)
  • Compliance
  • Business Development:
  • o May be required to assist with proposal/pitch development - e.g., research or document QC/formattingQualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in a relevant subject (e.g., English, BSc) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (in particular Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
  • At least 1 years’ experience in an editorial role in a medical communications agency or another relevant agency/industry
