Job Description

My client is a leading Architectural practice providing design and successful delivery of projects throughout the UK, focusing primarily in the educational and residential sectors. They are looking for an experienced Part II Architect with a proven trackrecord of working on projects through all RIBA stages and with at least the last three years working at this level in the UK.ROLETo work directly with the Project Director on the design and development of projects from concept stage through to completion of a project.DEVELOPING THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

  1. Take part in the briefing process. Record the brief in report form, minutes and by compiling room data sheets.
  1. Take responsibility for the production of Accommodation Strategies, Feasibility Studies and Utilisation and Area Forecasts.
  1. Review and comment on project programmes
  1. Input into Deliverables Schedules for the architectural teams and all associated consultants
  1. Obtain quotations for sub-consultants and appoint as necessary.
  1. Develop concept design sketches and help develop the design utilising ArchiCAD and Sketch-up
  1. Assist in the management of an architectural team to realise design proposals in a drawn format
  1. Assist in the management of a Visualiser culminating in a 3D animation of the project.
  1. Assist with Stage Reports and any other necessary reports required for projects.
  1. Chair, record and minute Design Team meetings and Co-ordination meetings.
  1. Attend client project meetings to present if necessary architectural designs and reports.
  1. Ensure the architectural team produces all information necessary to submit Applications to all relevant statutory authorities.
  1. Work with the Design Team
  1. In conjunction with the client, develop and produce Room Data Sheets.
  1. Help ensure the design is kept within the Clients set budget.
PREPARING DETAIL DESIGN AND PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  1. Review design package with Architect for client sign off.
CONTRACT MANAGEMENT/CONSTRUCTION ON SITE
  1. Record and manage any RFIs from developer/contractor.
POST CONSTRUCTIONPROFESSIONAL PRACTICEMaintain PEDR record with Lead Architect/discuss Part III development
