You will work with a team of peers to deliver the department’s vision to provide efficient and expert coding of patient records, embracing national standards of excellence, enabling the Trust to optimise income, and enriching the data we use to understand and enhance patient care. Key duties of the post would include:• Ensuring departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and targets are consistently achieved• To work autonomously without direct supervision when self-allocating work and in the achievement of daily coding targets• To be proactive, flexible and supportive towards an electronic way of working as the Trust develops its electronic patient record• To assist in the mentoring and development of trainee clinical coders• To be self-sufficient in resolving complex clinical coding queries and issuesThe successful Senior Clinical Coder will have:
