Job Description

Band 6 Respiratory and ICU Dietitian12 month Maternity cover (0.6 WTE) starting 8/3/21North Bristol NHS Trust are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated dietitian to work within the acute dietetic team here at Southmead, to cover a maternity leave for 12 months from April 2021. This B6 post would suit a dietitian who either has previous experience in respiratory and ICU, or a dietitian with an interest in these areas looking for an opportunity to gain experience in these exciting speciality.The successful applicant would join a well-established ICU and acute dietetic team (including DAs). The post holder’s responsibilities include:

  • Cover to the 48 bedded ICU
  • Cover to the Respiratory ward
  • Cover a once a week Gastro outpatient clinic
  • Assisting the department in the training of student dietitians from Plymouth University & Birmingham University.
  • The trust provides a number of regional specialities including major trauma, burns, renal & neurosurgery.
