The Trust is seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to provide clinical leadership to the Specialist Community Perinatal Mental Health Service within the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Clinical Commissioning Group area.Funding is available for 1.3 WTE allowing a flexible job share for interested Consultants.The service delivers a perinatal mental health pathway from pre-conception through to the infant’s first birthday, providing three work-streams: Specialist Advice and Guidance to all health professionals; An adjunct to existing mental health services, for women with pre-existing serious mental illness; and specialist assessment and treatment of new high risk cases.Although prior knowledge of perinatal mental health is preferred, it is not essential, as perinatal training will be provided. You should demonstrate outstanding leadership, flexibility and be able to work under pressure alongside a passion and commitment to support this client group.The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team is essential, as is the willingness to hold a vision in turbulent times while helping the service in its continued evolution.The AWP BNSSG community perinatal team sits alongside the Banes, Swindon and Wiltshire community perinatal team in addition to the NHS E funded mother and baby unit in Bristol.The services are also clinically supported by NHS E/Is South West Parent Infant Mental Health Network consisting of 12 perinatal mental health clinically led teams across the region.For further details / informal visits contact:Paul Rice, Service ManagerTelephone
