Job Description

IT Manager - £65,000 - Hybrid workingWe have registered a role for an IT Manager for a dynamic UK company, who are proud to be a part of a thriving multinational group. At the heart of their operations lies cutting-edge IT infrastructure, enabling them to maintain a competitive edge. They specializein bespoke IT systems and are currently seeking an experienced IT Manager to enhance their technological capabilities and drive efficiency across their operations.Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of IT Functions: They need someone to ensure that their backup and replication processes align seamlessly with the group policy. The IT Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining computer security systems according to group standardsand managing user access rights across all systems. Additionally, providing user support on all IT systems and spearheading the IT equipment procurement process is a key responsibility. The candidate will also be expected to review and enhance Internet/WAN/networkperformance.
  • Management of Local IT Infrastructure and Staff: In this role, the IT Manager will oversee all computer-related activities and manage the local IT development staff.
  • IT Project Management: Leading projects from conception to delivery, the IT Manager will collaborate cross-departmentally to design and develop IT systems supporting business processes. This includes estimating costs and time for project completionand maintaining and updating existing bespoke software and programming technologies.
  • IT Roadmap Development: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an IT roadmap that outlines Personnel, Process, and Technology changes. This involves ensuring systems remain relevant and up-to-date within the constraints of groupand local management.
  • Process and Documentation Management: Managing the development of IT processes and documentation is a critical aspect of this role. The IT Manager will be instrumental in implementing Change Management and disaster recovery procedures.
Requirements and Skills: The ideal candidate will have a degree in IT, Computer Science, Management, or equivalent experience, along with 3-5 years of experience in an IT supervisory role. Knowledge of ERP, business processes, and accounts is crucial,as is experience in object-oriented development using C# or Delphi. Familiarity with IT best practices and a full, clean driving license are also required.Beneficial Experience: While not essential, experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, Virtualisation, VMWare, Syspro, Filemaker, Microsoft SQL Server, and support of systems in a print or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.Please apply for further details
