Job Description

Strategic Procurement Analyst with as a Waste Management background is required for a well established, international business. The role can be one that is predominantly based remotely as long as there is the ability to occasionally travel to the offices in Leeds. The business are leaders in their speciality Waste Management field and have a strong reputation in the UK and Globally. Join a well established Procurement team where you will have solid support and autonomy from experienced Senior Procurement Specialists and buyers and sourcing analysts. The Job:

  • In a very strategic role you will execute Global Sourcing and Procurement efforts within a defined set of categories covering anywhere from $10 - $50 million in annual spend
  • The focus of the role is to reducing overall spend year on year across various categories by carry out market analysis, total cost of ownership analysis, competitive negotiations and contracting.
  • You will own the development and execution of strategies through the strategic sourcing process: serving as the primary process leader for assigned categories within the procurement function.
  • You will be required to build strong relationship with stakeholders to ensure you have their support and buy in.
  • In addition to supporting the development of sourcing strategies, you will play a key role in their execution including leading and having ownership of RFPs, contract negotiations, etc.
  • As part of the The Global Sourcing and Procurement team you will all be responsible for savings tracking and methodology across all categories.
