Job Description

This client are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team due to an increase in workload and the expansion of the commercial team. Your role will be covering the Yorkshire area and you will be looking after a variety of utilities projects.Client DetailsThis client are a leading specialist in the utilities space and work alongside a variety of projects within the electrical, gas, water, telecoms and design sectors.DescriptionYour role will involve:

  • Assist in the commercial function and reporting for projects within the region including site budgets, payments, bench marking, WIP, cash flows and valuations.
  • Monitor and report build costs periodically reporting any savings and excesses.
  • Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of contractor performance.
  • Management of external consultants involved in the commercial function.
  • Collaboratively work with other internal departments.
ProfileThe ideal person for this role will already have experience working in a Quantity Surveying role or be working in an assistant level role looking to make a step up from assistant QS up to Quantity Surveyor.You will have experience running multiple jobs at any one time as well as running this jobs independently whilst reporting into a more senior commercial team member.Ideally you will be degree qualified however if you have experience within the role already, this isnt essential.Job OfferIn return this client can offer a competitive salary and package, the chance for career progression and development and the opportunity to join a growing business in the utilities sector to further your career.If you are interested in hearing more about this role, interviews will be held in the new year for the right candidates so do not hesitate to get in touch or apply below.
