Job Description

Axon Moore is excited to be partnering with a Global Construction and Manufacturing business as they look to appoint an Assistant Accountant in their East Leeds office, on a fixed term basis. The role is initially for 6 months, with the potential for therole to become permanent after this point. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you as the successful Assistant Accountant will be responsible for;

  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
  • Processing invoices approved by Accounts Payable.
  • Preparing month end journals and assisting with other month end duties, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities
  • Assisting with company VAT return.
  • Providing necessary documents to External Auditors
  • Preparing the liquidity report
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaising with managers to report daily sales and orders
Ideally you will:
  • Have at least 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Be competent on MS Packages (Including Microsoft ExcelV-lookups, pivot tables, sum-ifs)
  • Have excellent communication/interpersonal skills
