Job Description

The Role: Warehouse Manager My successful and expanding client is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their Team. Heading up a team of 10 warehouse staff/drivers you will be responsible for taking ownership of the smooth and safe running of the warehouse and adhereto the below job responsibilities.Job Responsibilities Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the accurate tracking and management of inventory levels.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize errors and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate regular stock checks and audits to ensure accuracy.
Order Fulfilment:
  • Oversee order fulfilment processes to meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor and improve order picking, packing, and shipping procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing to minimize shipping delays.
Space Optimization:
  • Strategically plan and organise the layout of the warehouse for optimal space utilisation.
  • Implement efficient storage solutions to accommodate growing inventory.
Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff.
  • Foster a positive working environment and promote teamwork.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to enhance productivity.
Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce and adhere to health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
  • Implement safety training programs and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Technology Integration:
  • Implement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements to enhance warehouse processes and efficiency.
Quality Control:
  • Establish and maintain quality control measures for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Address any quality issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve overall warehouse performance.
Communication:
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments, such as sales, and customer service.
  • Address and resolve any warehouse-related issues or concerns.
Budget Management:
  • Manage the warehouse budget effectively, including labour, equipment, and operational costs.
  • Seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or efficiency.
The Package
  • Monday to Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm (40 hours per week) although some flexibility maybe required
  • Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year depending on experience
