Facilities Technician - Hospitality and Retail IndustryLocations these are regional roles and we are accepting applications from London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Berkshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands, East Midlands, West Yorkshire, Manchester and CheshireSalary: £28-34,000 +benefits, career opportunities + van + toolsWe are recruiting for eight Multiskilled Technicians / Handy-people, to be based in the South and the North of England to carry out reactive and remedial works in our Clients’ multi-site retail and hospitality locations.To provide an efficient and effective brand Maintenance service to allocated units, within a given area, planning and delivering a high quality building fabric maintenance programme.The role:Carry out repair works as directed by the Maintenance Manager, Helpdesk and Unit Manager, making the best use of time, facilities and maintenance systems to provide the most efficient and effective service to the units;Plan your own labour time within your allocated schedule to ensure localised problems are prioritised and managed effectivelyWhere necessary assist the helpdesk teams in identifying appropriate sources of equipment and parts to deliver a fast and quality serviceTo ensure work orders are only taken via the Maintenance Helpdesk or the PDA’sApply technical knowledge to evaluate, assess and identify solutions for specific maintenance problems referring only non-routine/key problems to your line managerUse all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training receivedEnsure compliance for all necessary Permit to Work Systems and safe systems of workEnsure that all work is carried out using best practice and with reference to the Health and Safety procedures of the site and to operate within the Risk Assessment processDemonstrate team working to ensure the complete maintenance service provided to the customer is high quality and delivered promptly where co-operation with others is required to complete the workThe people:Proven skills in solving building fabric faultsNVQ Level 2 or 3 City and Guilds in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry & joinery or equivalent / relevant qualificationPrevious building / building maintenance experienceGood all round handyperson skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, electrical installation, brick laying and tilingHave an understanding of the maintenance requirements of Building Services assets associated within a multi-site retail and catering environmentAttention to detail and pride in the work delivered is essentialPrepared and excited to attend training programmes to develop skills furtherFlexible as travel to other regions is required with overnight staysTime management to ensure projects are completed on timeGood customer service skills conduct work with a smile is essentialTo apply please email CV’s with qualifications listed
