Job Description

Logistics AdministratorSalary:£18-£20k (may be flexible DOE)Location: Mid-KentOur client, a merchant service provider, is seeking a Trainee Logistics Administrator/Operative to join their team on a Permanent basis.The main purpose of the role is to ensure that they are uploaded correctly and sent out to customers within set time constraints. Full training will be provided to get you up to speed! Ultimately, you will be assisting them in providing a word class customer experience whilst remaining compliant, efficient, and cost effective!This role has come about due to huge company growth, so its an exciting time to join the business.As a Logistics Administrator you will be:

  • Supporting the Warehouse and Logistics Team Leader, by maintaining all supply chain procedures ie coordinating deliveries, managing transport documentation & ensuring that customers receive the right orders on time
  • Maintaining records of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Organising the warehouse - managing an accurate inventory of warehouse materials
  • Ensuring that goods are correctly catalogued
  • Processing shipments/plan routes
  • Booking collection in and dealing with returned products
  • Ensuring that customer service logs and safety records are kept up to date and accurate
  • Loading and activating products ready for delivery
  • Staying up to date with all product knowledge
  • Dealing with lost deliveries/claims
  • Dealing with day to day queries
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Good attention to detail

  • Organisation/planning skills
Essential
  • Proven work experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel
Desirable
  • Knowledge of logistics industry
Working Conditions: The Companys operational hours are 8:00am to 11:00pm Monday to Saturday, and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday. You will generally be expected to work a shift of 7.5 hours at any time during the Companys operational hours.
