Job Description

Start Date: January 2021 Pay: KR3 We are looking for a highly skilled and experiencedTeaching Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated and supportive team in EYFS.Candidates should ideally have experience of working in this key stage and havean understanding of the EYFS Framework. Paediatric first aid training will be provided ifthe candidate does not already have the qualification. Kings Hill School hastwo classes of 30 in EYFS and although the post will be primarily based inone class, there will be an expectation to work across all of theFoundation Stage as a team. The successful applicant will be required to work32.5 hours per week (8.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday, term time only 38 weeksa year). This post is at Kent Range 3 which is £18,039 (FTE) The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Have experience of working with younger childrenincluding those with SEND and EAL
  • Be someone who enjoys working with childrensupporting the curriculum in a free-flow indoor and outdoorenvironment.
  • Have relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ3 / Level 3Teaching Assistant, NNEB) or relevant experience
  • Be able to run small intervention groups tosupport children with additional needs (i.e. Speech & Language,PSHE).
  • Be able to deliver to small groups and support theclass teacher with Phonics.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of good early yearspractice
  • Be a good team player, flexible and prepared touse their initiative
  • Be committed to their own professionaldevelopment
  • Be imaginative, creative, very energetic andinterested in moving on childrens learning
  • Have good interpersonal skillsand organisational skills
  • Have an interest in celebrating childrenslearning by classroom display
  • Support the ethos and wider life of theschool

We have a large extendedschool hall which can be divided into two by acoustic doors, the smaller ofwhich providing an area for sports activities. Our grounds incorporate a ponddipping area, poly tunnel, woodland walk and more recently we have had a MultiUse Games Area built and an all weather running track.
