Job Description

We have approx. 1300 employees across 8 sites, where we cover a broad range of specialisms, including complexmedical and surgical procedures and a comprehensive range of cancer and outpatient services.Job ProfileWe are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Band 7 Molecular Imaging (Nuclear Medicine) Clinical Specialist to will assist in the provision of a Molecular Imaging Service of the highest standard. They will support and work closely with the MolecularImaging superintendent and key stake holders.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shifts: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday
  • Salary: £50,713- £60,848 inclusive per annum dependent on skills and experience.

  • To undertake routine and complex diagnostic Molecular Imaging investigations and maintain a high standard of technical skill, efficiency and patient care in accordance with departmental protocols and procedures
  • To ensure that standards are maintained in accordance with departmental protocols and national guidelines
  • To assist with the provision of an efficient service and to ensure that patients remain in the department for the minimum possible time, consistent with satisfactory clinical, technical and radiological requirements
  • To prepare pharmaceuticals labelled with radioactivity under aseptic conditions for intravenous administration to patients
Skills & Experience
  • DCR or BSc in Radiography
  • Post graduate qualification in Nuclear Medicine or Equivalent Qualification
  • Experience in PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine essential
  • Experience with SPECT/CT desirable
  • Broad knowledge of routine and complex Molecular Imaging techniques and radioisotope therapies
  • To have a good knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, national standards, professional and other guidelines associated with Molecular Imaging relating to Radiation Protection and Health & Safety
