Job Description

Client Accountant Acton, West London £40,000 to £50,000 Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting our client, a highly successful and well-established firm of Accountants based in West London, that are now eager to recruit a Client/Senior Accountant to carry out a range of accounts and tax obligationson behalf of a diverse portfolio of clients including Ltd Co.s, sole traders and partnerships. Role Requirements: Reporting directly to the Senior Manager you will support a diverse client portfolio by providing a wide range of services to include statutory accounts production, corporate and personal tax filings, VAT returns, as well as providing advice and liaising withthe HMRC on their behalf.

  • Managing accounts preparations using Iris Accounts production and VT+ and finalising accounts and iXBRL filing with HMRC/Companies House.
  • Leading client meetings to review accounts and provide necessary advice on financial statements i.e., dividend and overdrawn DCA implications, etc.
  • Managing and control of VAT returns and timely filing
  • Liaising and interacting with clients to complete personal and company tax returns.
  • Training and mentoring new starters when required.
  • Managing back-office workload, effectively communicating with the clients, resolving issues and queries. Review back-office accounting papers and provide feedback.
  • Production of management accounts and review with clients.
  • Liaising with HMRC and Companies House where necessary.
  • Promptly responding to clients needs
  • Ability to carry out research on tax and other matters.
  • Dealing with HMRC various campaigns (e.g. Let Property Campaign)
Person Requirements:
  • At least 4+ years experience as a client or Senior Accountant working for a UK based practice performing a range of duties to include accounts, tax, VAT and management accounts for a range of clients.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients (over the phone and in meetings) and the HMRC alike.
  • Able to support and review the work of an outsourced department.
  • Highly proficient in the use of accounting software to include IRIS, VT, Quickbooks and Xero
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
