Job Description

  • 3rd Line/ Project Engineer
  • Permanent
  • London (Hybrid 2 days a week onsite)
  • Salary - upto 69k
My client is currently on the lookout for a 3rd Line Engineer to support the Head of IT Operational Support to deliver the IT Operational Road Map ensuring continuous improvement and maintenance to the operational service .TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To look after the technical architecture design
  • Troubleshoot servers (physical and virtual) and related hardware and software in order to deliver required infrastructure service levels.
  • To assist in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the business data
  • Responsible for the security policy of the IT Infrastructure and network.
  • Customise solutions that adhere to the IT operational and security strategy
  • Perform price tag analysis for designs , licenses, and equipment.
  • Analysis of integration limitations and find a suitable solution.
  • Ensure all designs , resolutions and implementations follow industry standards and best practices
  • Responsible for the global maintenance of the Technical infrastructure and network
  • Create and maintain the system backup and restore plan
  • Create and maintain the resiliency policy for the technical infrastructure and network . Understand how to fix’ the system problems in case of sudden system failure or crash
  • Responsible for the analysis of the software licensing policy and provisioning of the global licensing.
  • Define system , infrastructure, network upgrades and make ready for future addition without impacting the operational service .
  • Diagnostics and resolution of on demand issues ,ideas for fixing system problems in the event of sudden failure or crash.
Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Server OS, AD,DNS,DHCP,IIS and WSUS.
  • Working technical knowledge of Active Directory, Cloud technology and Cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of virtual environment (VMware and Citrix) & VOIP telephony would be beneficial.
  • The ability to present yourself as a technical authority and delivery technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Good Working Knowledge of Firewalls, IPS, IDS, Vulnerability & Patch Management, Routing & Switching
  • Understands the latest technologies and best practices
