Job Description

  • About the RoleYou are joining the team to oversee the accounting functions and lead a team of 4 to maintain our brilliant service levels. This will free our Founder Jennie to concentrate on leading the business to much greater growth and opportunity for all, we have already grown by threefold in 3 yearsand are planning for plenty more.Success in your role 12 months from now will be defined as still having the great relationship with our customers that we do now, but delighting them further by being even more efficient and producing our clients company accounts by 3 months after their year-end.To achieve this your role will include:
  • Overseeing a team of 4 running book-keeping and accounting tasks
  • Reviewing VAT returns and payroll
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of tax returns (corporate and personal)
  • Dealing with client queries and with HMRC
  • Ensuring all statutory deadlines are met
  • Onboarding of new clients
  • General assistance with business development

We often have dogs in the office; and whilst there arent many shops nearby, there is a bakery van that visits daily. We are about 10 minutes’ drive from Horsham Town Centre.Our TeamWe are a team of 5 people who work closely together to provide the best possible service for our clients.We are all very friendly and hardworking, its quite fast-paced, so its not a noisy chatty office, its very relaxed and we dont have a dress code. The culture is a supportive and collaborative one, everyone helps everyone out, there arent any office politics here.We all go out for a pub lunch on someones birthday and any other excuse really.
