Job Description

It was 30 years ago when we were a small maintenance contractor with a single van; and it still is now we are a truly national company”.About the Role:Due to an exciting, newly awarded joint venture contract, mobilising for a start date on 1 October. We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and take responsibility for the delivery of all in-house recruitment activitiesto support this new contract covering the repairs and maintenance of 40,000 homes.As part of the group wide Talent Acquisition team, you will work closely with and act as the first point of contact for all hiring managers and key stakeholders within this contract, to create and implement recruitment plans to support the business needs.This is a hybrid role, primarily based in Brentwood, with travel to other local sites as required.You will be able to gather and provide local market information and knowledge to assist hiring managers and to ensure Mears is competitive in the industry, recommending changes and develop local recruitment activities to promote diversity and inclusion,working with the existing TA team, to share best practice and candidate pools across the region.Supporting the local hiring teams through the full recruitment process, from REQ creation, search and selection, to offer, following all group policies and procedures, to ensure we deliver a standardised process, achieved within the agreed company targetwhich promotes best practise in the workplace.Role Key Criteria:

  • Experience as a Recruiter from a recruitment agency or in-house background.
  • Proven experience in Trades, repair & maintenance recruitment.
  • Experience of the full recruitment life-cycle, intake calls, advertising, pipelining, search and selection, interviewing, scheduling and offer management.
  • Ability to pro-actively approach and attract candidates to create a diverse shortlist of candidates.
  • Knowledge of working with recruitment ATS software, Workday is desirable.
  • Be a great team player as well an ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Hold a Full UK Driving License
