Job info:Post Graduate Certificate CYP IAPT Trainee PractitionerAre you a qualified and registered nurse, social worker or OT with child mental health experience and a desire to learn and develop new therapeutic skills Are you already working with children and young people and their parents/carers to improve mental health and would like to undertake high quality training Are you committed to providing high quality, evidenced based care in the form of therapy to children and young people, If so, we want to hear from you.The Sefton CAMHS Partnership consists of Alder Hey CAMHS, Venus Star Centre, Parenting 2000 & Sefton Council Early Help who provides treatment, support and guidance for a wide range of health issues, including mental health and learning disability services.We are looking for 2 experienced and highly committed practitioners to undertake a year of training in CBT, up to post Graduate Diploma (PGDip.) level as part of the CYP-IAPT therapies training programme. The post is for 1 year to cover the training period and will be based across the Sefton CAMHS Partnership.Successful applicants will be placed in and deliver across the partnership agencies and may be based in 1 or more of these services. Post holders will not be directly employed by Alder Hey.Notification to successful applicants will be on 14th or 15th December with provisional interview dates on 21st or 22nd December. Due to the challenges of time can you advise on application any challenges with these dates. The interviews will be held on TEAMS.The course runs from March 2021 and you will need to be available for the start of the course to qualify for this post. The course is provided through the CYP-IAPT training programme, delivered by the Psychological Therapies Training Centre at Prestwich. Their courses are highly regarded as providing high quality training with extensive supervision and support. This year, the training will be a mix of on-line and face to face delivery, dependent on covid restrictions. As a PGDip. trainee you will attend the training centre in Prestwich 2 day per week with 3 days in your service. In your service you will be a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team offering a balance of generic CAMHS services and therapy to a caseload of clients by delivering CBT. You will have access to the full support of the team and opportunities to experience a busy child mental health service working in innovative ways within the new THRIVE model for CAMHS.As a must have you will be:
