Job Description

We are looking for an MDT Coordinator to help support the General Paediatrics Team.Alder Hey Childrens Hospital has cared for over 330,000 children, young people, and their families for over 100 years. We contribute to public health, lead cutting-edge research, and teach the next generation of childrens specialists.Would you like to be a part of this long-standing trustWe have a new 6-month long opportunity for an MDT Coordinator at Alder Hey Childrens NHS Foundation Trust, Eaton Road, Liverpool (L12 2AP).The working hours for this role are Monday-Sunday part time Lunchtime cover to include 12-2pm. 4 hours a day.The pay rate is band 4 and this is an hourly rate of £11.20 an hour.The main duties are.

  • Be responsible for the coordination of the patient pathway ensuring that referrals are processed and actioned and information / data is recorded in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for the completeness of data collection.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal and external colleagues to ensure that treatment plans are delivered in a smooth, timely and appropriate manner in line with patient need.
  • Liaise with the Lead Clinicians across the Specialisms and other members of the MDT to ensure that patients are appropriately supported along their pathway.
  • Working closely with Lead Clinicians and other MDT members
  • Working closely with extended MDT members to ensure effective communication pathways to support the patient pathway.
  • Ensures that appropriate methods of communication are used e.g., videoconferencing across the Network, NHS Net accounts and agreed MDT proformas which will include comprehensive clinical information.
  • Receive notification of all newly diagnosed PIMS-TS to ensure timely discussion at the MDT.
  • Provide a point of contact for health and social care professionals for all referrals of the specified groups.
  • Develop and maintain robust and effective communication channels with all departments and individuals relevant to the specialty both internally and externally.
  • Organize venue and teleconferencing equipment if required.
  • Collect and circulate discussion lists, agendas, minutes of meetings.
  • Maintain MDT and attendance records.
