  • Job Summary
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and provision of a specialist, evidence based dietetic service for children and young people with eating disorders and their families , within a community setting as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • To provide dietetic services for in-patients with eating disorders at The Dewi Jones Unit, Alder Park and to provide acute dietetic services for children and young people requiring acute hospital admission to Alder Hey Children’s NHS Trust
  • To lead development and implementation of evidence based protocols and standards of dietetic care for children and young people with eating disorders both for outpatient and inpatient care
  • To audit outcome and adjust treatment protocols accordingly and to participate in research in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of the management of eating disorders in young people through teaching and support of other health care professionals and acting as a source of dietetic expertise in the area of eating disorders.Please read attached Job description for all skills and responsibilities the role is looking forWho are NHS ProfessionalsNHS Professionals (NHSP), owned by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), works in partnership with hospital trusts to provide a bank of highly skilled temporary workers who want to work flexibly within the NHS.Working through the NHSP bank means Trusts don’t have to rely on expensive agencies.   • Minimum of 3 months experience in a PA/Administrative role.
  • Must have excellent minute taking skills
  • KEYS training or similar recognised minute taking course is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to cope under pressure
  • Accurate typing skills, minute taking and attention to detail
  • Excellent standard of GCSE qualifications or equivalent (Grade C or above)
  • Typing and word processing skills at 60wpm
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the Data Protection Act
  • Experience of information systems e.g word processing packages, spreadsheets, databases, email etc.
  • Undertake regular mandatory training
