Job Description

The Payroll Specialist - HYBRID (2 days in the office, 3 from home) is an integral part of a busy payroll team. The primary objective of the team is to pay employees accurately and on time. Our two key systems are a contract management system called Templaand SelectPay, our payroll system.Client DetailsA medium sized business who are growing through acquisition, based in the W. Byfleet area with free parking provided and easy access via public transport.DescriptionThe Payroll Specialist - HYBRID (2 days in the office, 3 from home) role involves;Templa Contract Management System Administration

  • Setting up new Clients/ Sites/ Contracts
  • Managing budgets for Periodic, Holiday and Regular Cleaning
  • Coordinating timesheet preparation and distribution
  • Calculating Annualised Pay for various clients
  • Coordinating School Cleaning Calendars for Educational Institution Clients
  • Maintaining, Updating and Adding employee details, including DBS checks and Right to Work checks
  • Holiday Reporting
  • Adhoc reporting from Templa, eg Forecasting client revenue for a cleaning contract
  • Exporting Timesheet information and uploading to SelectPay
  • Setting up and Training new users
  • Managing workflow paths
  • Supporting the Templa enhancement project
SelectPay
  • Setting up new Starters in SelectPay
  • Uploading Timesheets to SelectPay
  • Updating employee changes
  • Processing Monthly Payroll
  • Reviewing and validating Monthly Payroll
  • Reporting to Finance
  • BACS file creation
Other Duties
  • Resolving employee queries
  • Supporting managing and clearing the payroll team email inbox
ProfileThe ideal candidate for the Payroll Specialist - HYBRID (2 days in the office, 3 from home) role will have;
  • Strong IT Skills, Microsoft Excel in particular
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A Fast, Accurate and Meticulous processor
  • Approachable, friendly, organised and goal oriented
  • 1-2 years experience in UK Payroll preferred
  • Previous experience of Contract Management or Time and Attendance
  • RTI, and Pension experience is also highly desirable
Job OfferThe Payroll Specialist - HYBRID (2 days in the office, 3 from home) role offer a base salary of £30,000-35,000 (possibly up to £37,000 for the ideal candidate), plus:

  • Hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 days from home)
  • Hours: 37.5 per week (8am - 4pm, with 30 min lunch)
  • 25 days holiday
