Job Description

Team Leader required to join a well-established company based in the Pudsey (Leeds) area. They are a leading supplier of products made of high-tech materials - such as carbon, technical ceramics and sintered metal.Team Leader Position Overview

  • General supervision duties
  • Organisation of shifts, holidays, etc.
  • Disciplinary actions if necessary (working closely with the Personnel department)
  • Interviewing applicants/ laying off workshop staff
  • Liaising with Personnel department on all social security/ government documentation
  • Evaluation of personnel performance for Skills Matrix
  • Training and/ or supervision of training/ qualifications on works floor
  • Supervision of maintenance and repair schedules (working closely with Quality Management)
  • Liaison with machine tools suppliers/ ordering supplies
  • Allocation of work loads for machines and shop floor personnel (in co-operation with Logistics Management)
  • Co-operation with Despatch and Logistics on finished/ out- going products
  • Read drawings and create CNC programs accordingly
  • Setting up and programming CNC machines (Mazak)
  • First- off dimensional tests on new programs
  • In-process controls using manual devices (gauges, micrometer)
  • Finished product inspections using CNC CMM machines
  • Reporting in SAP and on paper
  • High standard of quality and performance
  • Methodical skills like 5S or CIP
Team Leader Position Requirements
  • Based in a commutable distance of Pudsey (Leeds)
  • Proven background within a Team Leader position in a similar environment
  • Previous experience within CNC Machining
  • Experience with Mazak / Mazatrol is advantageous
Team Leader Position Remuneration
  • Full time permanent position
  • Competitive Salary (DOE)
  • Alternating shifts - 06:00am to 14:00pm Monday to Friday (finish at 12:30pm on Fridays), later shift is 14:00pm to 23:45pm Monday to Thursday
  • 34 days holiday including BH
  • Pension
