Are you looking for a role that can launch your career within the Construction and Highways Industry Via currently has fantastic opportunities to join our Construction and Maintenance Team as a Highways Maintenance Apprentice based at various depot locationsacross the Nottinghamshire County which include Bilsthorpe, Blyth, Gamston and Sutton-in Ashfield.As a Highways Maintenance Apprentice, you will gain first-rate training and mentoring along with hands on experience and the practical qualifications to prove it! Throughout the training period you will gain a Level 2 Highways Maintenance Apprenticeshipas well as gaining additional nationally recognised industry qualifications e.g: NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act)About the role:Within your role you will work under the support and direction of experienced operatives delivering work on Highway Construction and Maintenance projects, such as tarmacking, concreting, and various groundworks.You will gain competence in the operation of light plant and other construction equipment, such as Road Rollers, Breakers and Stihl Saws and gain an understanding of the documentation and specifications associated with highway construction and maintenanceworks.Candidate Requirements:We are looking for a capable and motivated individual who has an interest in civil engineering and the construction/highways industry.The ideal candidate will hold at least one of the following:
