ENVIRONMENT AGENCY - BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR (Admin Officer)Looking for a new role Something with a bit more flexibility Are you someone who is looking to return back to work and needing to work around childcare; a graduate or possibly even someone who is looking for less responsibility than in previous roles.Then this role could possibly be for you.The Environment Agency work to create better places for people and wildlife, as well as support sustainable development.Within England they`re responsible for:" regulating major industry and waste" treatment of contaminated land" water quality and resources" fisheries" inland river, estuary and harbour navigations" conservation and ecologyThey are also responsible for managing the risk of flooding from main rivers, reservoirs, estuaries and the sea.An excellent package is offered, including:" £10.66 per hour pay rate" Starting as soon as you have passed clearance checks until the end of March 2024, with the possibility of it being extended" Accrual of up to 33 days paid annual leave pro rata available (inclusive of bank holidays)" Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility as the office opens at 7.00am to 5pm, as long as you cover the core hours 10am to 3pm." This role is based in Nottingham; working 2 days in the office and 3 from homeKey Responsibilities:Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:- general administrative support. - following set procedures and exercising some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. - Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report- Overseeing administrative procedures and processes- Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required- Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources- Preparing routine correspondence- Capturing actions at meetings- maintaining and creating spreadsheetsWhat are we looking for" Good written and verbal communication skills, working effectively with team members and external contractors/suppliers" A can-do attitude and a real passion for supporting people" You will be a confident IT user, the use of MS Office packages, particularly excel" Ideally, you would have secretarial experienceCandidates applying must be able to pass a clear Basic DBS check and provide proof of Right to Work in the UK.Please apply online with your current CV in WORD format.
