Job Description

ROLE: Tool Repairer LOCATION: Wellingborough HOURS OF WORK: Days BASIC SALARY: £27K per annumCompany ProfileMy client are looking for a Tool Repairer to join their premises based in Wellingborough. Following internal promotion, they are looking to recruit a Tool Repairer for their Service Centre Team. Reporting to the Service Centre Manager, you will be confidentwith technical products, handling customer returns, carrying out repairs and offering general technical support.In this Tool Repairer role, you will:

  • Assist with the processing of all customer returns accurately and efficiently in order to consistently deliver excellent customer service.
  • Fulfil warranty requirements by carrying out repairs and issuing replacement products in line with established procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding warranty claims and spare parts requirements.
  • Assess, prepare quotes and carry out product repairs.
  • Inspect and recondition products under our product recycling scheme.
  • Work closely with the Product Team with the launch of new products, including testing and reviewing product quality, determining spares requirements and establishing/contributing to instruction manuals and warranty procedures.
  • Maintain and establish new processes to ensure the smooth running of the department, including reporting and communications.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workshop, ensuring any potential hazards are taken care of safely, quickly and efficiently.
  • Safely undertaking manual handling tasks using pallet trucks and other mechanical handling equipment (MHE).
  • Support the Service Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Service Centre.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Companys Health & Safety policies and procedures.
