Shift Supervisor Are you an experienced management professional with supervisory experience looking for a new challenge in a an exciting and growing industry.Our client is looking to recruit on a permanent basis a shift supervisor to motivate a friendlyteam within a well-established manufacturing company based in Wellingborough. We are seeking an excellent manager who can lead by example who wants to learn new skills and gain new experiences to progress within their career.This will be a first line managementposition, and we would like you to be proficient in production operations. The position supervises and coordinates production activities, including maintenance staff, ensuring production targets are met in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).Leadthe production facility with clear priorities around safety and quality. Minimum 3 years of experienceShift Patten: 4 on, 4 off, nights and days rotatingEnsure Health & Safety procedures are maintained.Act as a first responder to production questions, issuesand concerns.Providing pertinent follow up information to managers, maintenance team, and quality teamDevelop a continuous Improvement environmentMaintain stock records and locations Maintain and publish Kanban records for production consumables.Ensure teamadhere to SOPs, minimise variability from operator to operator.Seek out SOP improvementsEnsure housekeeping standards are adhered to, and elevatedEnsure QA/QC product standards are maintained.Maintain required staffing levels, by maintaining holiday and trainingrecords.Ensure all equipment is operated safely, with maximum efficiency, supported by maintenance department scheduling.Providing regular one to one feedback to team members, and conducting performance and annual reviews in concert with the department manager.Participatein the interview process for new employees, as well as manage departmental on-boarding and training process.Support initiatives to ensure minimal waste during manufacturing.Own assigned continuous improvement activities, reporting progress and track improvements.Experience with PLC driven automated processes an advantage. Demonstrated ability to follow preventative maintenance plans in a production environment would be an advantage.
