Job Description

Job Role: Service EngineerLocation: Wellingborough, NorthamptonshireSalary: £30,000-£35,000 base salary (OTE £40,000+)Hours: 08.00-16.00 Monday-Thursday, 14:30 finish Friday – flexible hoursJob Type: Full time, PermanentHoliday: 31 days including bank holidays – rising with serviceOvertime: always available at time ¼The Company: Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, market leader in Design and Manufacture of CNC Cutting Machines on their search for an experienced Service Engineer to join their growing team. Our client has been established for over 50 yearsand they have sites based in Austria and the USA, which you may occasionally get to visit!The Benefits:

  • Salary between £30,000-£35,000 dependent on experience (OTE £40,000+ with travel time paid + overtime)
  • 23 Days Holiday plus bank holidays – rising with service (up to 26 days)
  • Company car provided with personal use, fuel card and fully expensed (Audi A4 Avant)
  • Overtime always available at time ¼
  • Company car/van provided with fuel, travel and accommodation paid for
  • Some nationwide and international travel required (Northern Ireland once or twice a year)
  • Pension – 5% employee, 9.5% employer contribution
  • Ongoing commitment to training and progression
The Role:
  • This role is 2/3 site based, 1/3 out on the field
  • You will be carrying out PPM’s, Installation and reactive breakdowns on a variety of CNC, Cutting and Laser machines.
  • This will include working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery and components – with previous experience working with AC/DC Motors and Drives beneficial
  • You will occasionally need to travel both nationwide and to Northern Ireland to carry out PPM’s to customer machinery.
  • Previous field based and customer facing experience will be beneficial as you will be the face of the company when visiting customer sites.
  • Electrical and Mechanical fault finding
  • Training will be provided for some of the more niche machinery you will be working with
The Requirements:
  • Previous mechanical and electrical experience working in a service environment (essential)
  • Happy with both field based and site based work (essential)
  • Mechanical and Electrical fault finding capabilities (essential)
  • Previous experience working with AC/DC Motors and Drives (essential)
  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
  • Happy with nationwide / international travel and occasional overnight stays
