Job Description

Recruitment AssistantJob Type: Full Time, PermanentLocation; WellingboroughSalary: £27,000 per annumHours: 5 days (Monday to Friday), 4 hours per day (between 8am and 5pm)The Role Our client is the largest network of automotive repair centres and automotive repair and management services in the UK and Ireland.The company is looking to appoint a Recruitment Assistant to join their HR team and lead the end-to-end recruitment process. You will play a key role in attracting candidates, evaluating applications, supporting the interview process, and managing recruitmentadministration.As a skilled Recruitment Assistant, you will have a working knowledge of recruitment best practices and be able to bring innovative ideas on how to attract the best talent to the organisation. You will have great communication skills and be a confident networkerwho brings creativity and innovation to the task of talent attraction. You will be highly organised and demonstrate a track record of completing projects in a timely manner.Your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage their full recruitment cycle, ensuring that they consistently meet their staff requirements and acquire top talent for their organisation.Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the HR Manager to design and implement a strategy for recruitment and onboarding, looking at the current and future needs of the company
  • Liaise with managers to identify staff requirements and the specific post objectives
  • Research and implement effective advertising options Identify new and effective recruitment and onboarding sources
  • Work with marketing to design bespoke and eye-catching job descriptions
  • Advertise on generic and specialist career websites, Company website and university/college boards as required
  • Evaluate and make initial reports on CVs, cover letters and online applications
  • Co-ordinate the use of recruiting tools such as tests and assignments to assess candidates skills
  • Arrange psychometric testing for leaders using their psychometric testing portal
  • Arrange and facilitate phone, Teams and/or in-person interviews as required
  • Support hiring managers to develop a shortlist of qualified candidates
  • Take advice on best interview practice from the HR team and ensure interviewers are adopting these
  • Research, negotiate and implement recruitment and onboarding platforms
  • Liaising with managers and the accounts team to analyse recruitment costs
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
  • Track recruiting metrics
  • Announcing new starters on SharePoint with photo and bio
  • Stay up to date with current recruiting methods
  • Organise and host company recruitment events
  • Recommend ways to improve their recruitment and onboarding strategies
  • Build professional networks to attract potential employees, including local schools, colleges and universities
  • Identify opportunities to attend job fairs and careers events
  • Creatively develop innovative ways of reaching potential candidates and sectors
  • Develop new starter packages e.g., welcome boxes, information handbooks
  • Develop methods of engaging with new starters during the probationary period
  • Any other tasks as instructed by the Management team
Skills and Qualifications
  • have minimum grade C (4) GCSE maths and English
  • have proven work experience as a Recruiting Assistant or in a recruitment role
  • have excellent communication skills
  • have excellent research and analytical skills
  • have the ability to work well as a team member and work on your own initiative
  • have the ability to prioritise and complete projects within short deadlines
  • adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection guidelines
  • have a willingness to travel on occasion
  • have own transport
