Job Description

ROLE: Quality Manager LOCATION: WellingboroughHOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday (Days)BASIC SALARY: £34.5K - £36K (Negotiable)ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Private Healthcare, PensionCompany ProfileOur client is seeking a Quality Manager to join their organisation based in Wellingborough on a permanent basis to control and monitor the company Quality Management System to BSI 9001:2015In this Quality Manager role, you will be responsible for:

  • Control of calibration process- (In -house and external).
  • Control of Internal Audit process- (quality, process, and supplier)
  • Supplier Liaison- (control and issue of up-to-date specifications, supplier audits)
  • Goods Inwards testing support within Laboratory.
  • Control of information on Quality issues via Monthly Quality Meetings (update on KPls, repairs, outstanding issues, etc)
  • Control and facilitating external body accreditation audits
  • Document generation and control within production environment.
  • Work Instruction generation, assessment, and amendment.
  • Control and maintenance of safety data sheets & TDS for components.
  • Monthly H&S reporting for 1st aid and incident reports.
  • Control of complaints recording and report generation.
  • Component research for new materials
  • Production QC -KPIs, PP repairs, online inspection (inner films, etc)
  • Resin assessments and mixing control for production.
In order to be successful as a Quality Manager you must:
  • Working Knowledge of resin function - unsaturated polyester.
  • Working Knowledge of plastics -in conjunction with felt coating. Working Knowledge of Adhesives- in conjunction with adhesive patch usage.
  • Working knowledge of standard test methods and their application.
  • Accomplished auditor to minimum internal audit standard.
  • Ability to prioritise according to production requirements.
  • Good Quality ethic-able to balance quality requirements against production process capability
