About the role <p>We are currently recruiting for a Press & PR Manager within our PR team, working alongside our Head of PR to drive our PR strategy, protect and elevate Booker Groups reputation within the market and revamp the way our Wholesale business engages in PR.</p><p>If you didnt already know this, our customers are Independent Retailers, Restaurants, Pubs, Clubs, National Accounts and Independent Caterers, so this role has a heavy reliance on someone who is keen on exploring the possibilities in a B2B environment.</p><p>This role will support (our customers) the business owners with various things such as attending events, winning awards, learning as much as possible about product availability from our trade magazine, plus much more.</p> <p>This role will be based in Wellingborough,providing hybrid working, 2 or 3 days in the office or at our customers premises.The role will also include travel across the country at sites across the UK or attending events.For the months of September, October and November this could be 23 nightsa month for the rest of the year 1 or 2 nights a month.</p> <p>As Press & PR Manager you will also be responsible for line managing anAssistant within the team.</p> Role Responsibility <ul> <li>Protecting and evaluatingBookers reputation in the media through consistent messages and tone</li> <li>Preparingreactive responses to media enquires</li> <li>Managingexternal press releases, including selling in positive news stories</li> <li>Organisationof press events and visits</li> <li>Management of customer awards & events</li> <li>Reviewing and improvingawards & sponsorship programme</li> <li>Managingcustomer magazines delivering over £300k net</li> <li>Supporting filming opportunities</li> <li>Supportingsocial media teams withdifficult responses and approval of content</li> <li>Managingexternal press releases</li> <li>Sharingsummaries of media coverage and analysis</li> <li>Deputising for the Head of PR when necessary</li> </ul> You will need <ul> <li>Previous experience withinPress and PR in B2B environment</li> <li>Motivating, coaching and guiding direct report</li> <li>Proficientin the writing and delivery of campaigns</li> <li>Confident at dealing with the media directly and have the abilityto work with multiple stakeholders.</li> <li>Exceptional communication, copywriting and organisational skills.</li> </ul> Whats in it for you <p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p> <ul> <li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discountevents up to three times a year.</li> <li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
