Youll split your time between machine and site maintenancesite and working on your own specialist projects based at our Northamptonshire site.BASIC SALARY: Up to £45,000BENEFITS:· 24 days holiday + Bank holidays increasing with service. · Pension contribution. · Overtime available. · Cycle to work scheme.LOCATION: NorthamptonCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Rugby, Milton Keynes, Daventry, Wellingborough, Rushden, Banbury, Brackley, Coventry, Bedford, Newport Pagnell, Lutterworth, Southam, Buckingham, Market Harborough, Desborough, Bicester, Long BuckbyWHY APPLY· Its a great chance to get involved in various projects as well as consolidate your existing mechanical engineering skills. · Youll work with an experienced and friendly team where you have the autonomy to prioritise your work (unless an emergency crops up). · Were a stable company with a long history and an envious reputation, so your career is in safe hands.JOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Food manufacturingWorking on a busy manufacturing site that operates 24/7, this Monday to Friday this Mechanical Engineer role will see you involved in a wide range of activities including: · 75% reaction maintenance / 25% Project work (inception, design, build, install, commission). · Provide specialised assistance with maintenance repair issues. · Inspect machines / components and replace / repair kit where necessary. · Manage small to large projects.Youll also get involved in new systems integrations, machine upgrades and ensuring everything is operational, from health and safety perspective.Once youre up and running, youll join the team in the on-call rota (one week in six) and have the opportunity to either workdays and be on call or work nights for the week and earn the extra cash, the choice will be yours.PERSON SPECIFICATION : Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer - Food manufacturingYoure a qualified Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer. You might be a Field Service Engineer, looking to move to a single site role or a Single Site Maintenance Engineer or Technician.Whatever your background youll demonstrate:· A recognised qualification such as BTEC, C&G or NVQ Level 3 or you could have come through the apprenticeship route. · Experience servicing and repairing a diverse range of production plant systems including conveyors, elevators, sieves, grinders, ancillary services, and a variety of process equipment. · Experience of flour or feed milling, and medium / heavy industrial plant systems would be an advantage along with boilers, compressors, and sprinkler systems. · Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills.THE COMPANY:We are an independent family-owned business specialising in the production of agricultural products and the processing of cereals into flour and baked goods.
