The role will be located at our site in Wellingborough.What is an Annualised Contract and how does it workAs an employee on an Annualised hours Contract, you can independently decide how many shifts you can do weekly. You will be treated as permanent staff and will have access to our benefits if you commit to the hours set in your contract.Don’t worry, we will work around you, if you say you can do 8 - 32 hours per week between 6am and 10pm, we can offer you a Contract with your preferred working hours and in return, we will expect you to work and adhere to those hours.We are looking for someone who can work between 8-16 hours during first 3 weeks of the calendar month and between 24-40 hours during the last week of the calendar month (availability during last week will be extremely important).How can I book shiftsWe will send shifts directly via Joined Up system, this will include the location, shift pattern and who to report to. All you must do is simply book the shifts that suit you and turn up. Please note, shifts are allocated on a first come, first served basis.Benefits of adhering to our Annualised Contract- Guaranteed monthly salary, based on £11.98 per hour- Paid holiday- Company Pension Scheme- Employee discount schemes including E-vouchers and gift cards, gym membership as well as a recognition platform- Life cover- Critical Illness Cover- Free uniform- Free Driver training and development program, including DCPC courses- Employee Wellness initiatives - WeCare - includes 24/7 online GP, mental health support service, get fit programme and more.Main Duties of a Warehouse Operative- Receiving, picking, packing, putting away, replenishment, re-work and dispatch Participating in general warehouse duties where manual handling would be involved in the process- Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operations and customer service- Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse- Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity- Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity- Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to your line manager- Ensuring 5S standards are always maintainedRequired skills- Good level of general education, including a good understanding of both written and verbal English- Literate and numerate- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage.- Awareness of manual handling techniques is an advantage- Flexibility to work shifts where requiredWe thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those under consideration will be contacted.Yusen Logistics is an equal opportunities employer, who encourages applications from all suitably qualified and eligible applicants regardless of their personal circumstances.
