JOB DESCRIPTION:IT Network Engineer, IT Support Engineer, 3rd Line Support EngineerAs our IT Support Engineer / IT Network Engineer you will be hands-on, supporting everything from 1st line telephone support to 2nd line technical support and all things network. You will be responsible for responding to support requests, maintaining the LANnetwork and leading infrastructure automation projects.Youll be responsible for all aspects of our network including:Assisting the local IT department with service desk tickets. Maintenance of switches, cabling and wireless access points. Working with our global IT team and suppliers for firewall configuration. Proposing and leading improvements to network infrastructure. Updating and maintaining documentation related to networking, telephony and communication.You will be based in Wellingborough where 3 of our sites are located. You will use your expertise and knowledge to implement and maintain networking, telephony and communication solutions. You will also provide remote support to our Scandinavian sites to troubleshootand solve any issues they may have.PERSON SPECIFICATION:IT Network Engineer, IT Support Engineer, 3rd Line Support EngineerYou could be an experienced IT Network Engineer / IT Support Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer or an IT Administrator with previous experience supporting networks with up to 250 users. Youll be looking to develop a career and be responsible for an on-premisesdata and voice infrastructure.Youll bring the following skills: Experience with LAN networking, telephony and IT support. In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs and switches. Experience with network security protocols & firewalls.
