Job Description

HR Administrator (Temporary)Location: Wellingborough, NorthamptonshireDuration: 1 month (with the option to extend)Role Overview:As an HR Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the school’s administrative functions. Your responsibilities will include managing HR records, assisting with recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.This is a temporary position, but there is potential for it to become permanent based on performance.Key Responsibilities:HR Records Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, absence records, and personal details.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Recruitment Support:
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job vacancies, scheduling interviews, and coordinating reference checks.
  • Liaise with hiring managers and candidates to facilitate a smooth recruitment experience.
DBS Checks:
  • Coordinate disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks for new employees.
  • If you do not currently have a DBS certificate, we can assist you in obtaining one before your start date.
General Administrative Tasks:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team.
  • Assist with payroll-related tasks, such as inputting data and verifying timesheets.
  • Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Requirements:Experience:
  • Proven work experience as an HR Administrator or in a similar administrative role.
  • Familiarity with HR software (e.g., HRIS or HRMS) is advantageous.
Skills:
  • Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Qualifications:While formal qualifications are not mandatory, relevant experience and a willingness to learn are essential.Additional Information:DBS Requirement:
  • A valid DBS certificate is required for this role. If you do not currently have one, we can assist you in obtaining it before your start date.
Potential for Permanency:
  • Depending on performance and organizational needs, there is an opportunity for this temporary role to become permanent.
