Job Description

Hybrid - YesCommutable from - Milton Keynes, Northants, Cambs, MidlandsButler Rose is supporting a global instantly recognised multi-site brand with the recruitment of a Group Financial Accountant.The Group Financial Accountant will report into the Group Finance Manager and will be responsible for driving accurate and timely month-end group accounting and reporting, ensuring global consistency.The role will work with the Group Finance Manager to ensure that the month end group accounting and reporting is completed accurately and timely and co-ordinate consistency across Finance globally.Some of the duties will include:

  • Prepare month-end consolidation adjustments for comprehensive Group reporting.
  • Own accounting for holding companies, coordinating with the Group Central Costs team.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations, provide recommendations, and resolve control issues.
  • Support the Group Finance Manager in developing and reviewing the consolidated Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
  • Prepare the Month End Reporting Pack, consolidating global financial information.
  • Conduct Group balance sheet reconciliations and review Regional balance sheets for consistency.
  • Perform annual Group transaction reviews, including transfer pricing calculations.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks, communication with auditors, and preparation of audit information.
  • Ownership/support on other projects as necessary
Person Specification:
  • Recognised accountancy qualification (preferably ACA / ACCA) with technical competencies.
  • Experience with Group consolidations, multi-currency, and multi-site subsidiaries.
  • Understanding of IFRS accounting policies for Group consolidation and global information analysis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Confidence to build credibility with stakeholders inside and outside the Finance function.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to grasp both the details and the big picture.
