Job Description

Demand PlannerWellingboroughPermanentOffice-based, Monday to Friday only (8.30am to 5.30pm)Up to £32,000We have an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planner to join an established company in Wellingborough. Our client is looking for an experienced planner with industry experience and outstanding organisation and attention to detail.The successful candidate will be creating, monitoring, analysing, and improving the long- and short-term demand forecasting for the business. This is a key role within the company, requiring a self-starter able to quickly solve problems and multitask efficiently.The role will report to the Supply Chain Manager.If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience, we strongly encourage you to apply today.Benefits include health cash plan, gym membership, and possible hybrid working following qualifying period.Key duties and responsibilities of the Demand Planner:

  • Build and develop key relationships with customers, improving processes and ensuring free flow of accurate information.
  • Develop forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Monitor and analyse sales history, and conduct frequent forecast maintenance.
  • Analyse trends, translate demand into forecasts, and maintain seasonality and promotional activities.
  • Monitor and report forecast accuracy, proposing solutions and reporting estimations to management.
  • Provide holiday/absence cover for the Production and Supply Chain managers as needed.
Key experience and skills required for the Demand Planner:
  • Previous experience in a similar role and environment.
  • A background in food, logistics, or medical related industries would be highly desirable and advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Versatile, tenacious, and able to work under own initiative.
