Job Description

Job TitleBattery Systems Project LeadHighly competitive salary & excellent benefits packageLocation: NorthamptonR&DAre you a Battery Systems Engineer, Battery Technical Specialist or Battery Programme Manager interested in working for a company at the cutting edge of electric powertrain and battery development We are looking for a Project Lead to support the deliveryof electrification projects at the companies brand-new battery research and development centre. If you are a Senior Battery Engineer or Technical Project Manager with experience in the design and development of high voltage battery packs continue reading.As a Battery Systems Project Lead, your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of;

  • Leading key customer battery development projects and multi disciplined teams (design, analysis, purchasing, development, quality)
  • Acting as the primary interface to the customer, ensure projects are delivered on time to quality and cost in line with customer requirements including reviewing project risks and resolution. Leading internal gateway reviews
  • Technical support on the delivery of electrification / battery projects, electrified vehicle build and test programmes
  • Guiding the strategic development (long term & short term) of battery build and test facilities as well as identifying key training areas and opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement
  • Co-ordinate activities between sections to achieve project deliverables and milestones to the agreed plan
  • Support the quotation process for future electrification projects
An exciting opportunity for an Experienced Battery Systems Project Lead with the following.
  • Degree qualified in electrical /electronics /mechatronics/ mechanical or similar relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience in the design, development and production/industrialisation of HV battery packs
  • Experience in battery electrochemistry and design standards of HV battery packs
  • Automotive industry experience desirable
