Job Description

Job Title: Purchase Ledger AssistantLocation: Wellingborough, Northampton Salary: Up to £28,000 per yearType: Permanent - Monday to Friday Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Some flexibility)Company Overview:Macildowie has teamed up with a progressive and adaptable client based in Wellingborough, seeking a Purchase Ledger Assistant with expertise in managing creditors regularly. While familiarity with Sage is not mandatory, prior experience with any versionof Sage would be highly beneficial.Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing expenses using our expense system
  • Assisting the payable/admin manager in preparing accounts for payment
  • Handling queries from group finance and throughout the organisation
  • Reconciling creditors at month-end
  • Collaborating across functions to support the end-to-end AP process across all business units
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Assisting the team with invoice verification and processing queues
  • Supporting invoice matching, coding, and processing tasks
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable and busy office environments
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Word & Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage time effectively
