Job Description

Learning Support Assistant - SEND

  • Primary SEND Support
  • Based inBexley
  • Full-time or Part-Time
We are currently looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant with Primary support experience, who will be dedicated and passionate about support pupils. We require the individual to commit long-term with a basic understanding of supporting pupilsin a classroom. Our school caters to pupils with low-level autism spectrum conditions (ASD/ASC). The ideal candidate would have experience in supporting pupils on a one-to-one or group basis. The school is based in Bexley with good transport links, the idealcandidate will be based in Bexley or the surrounding areas.Job Responsibilities
  • Supporting children or adults with Autism Spectrum Condition or SEND
  • Assist with personal care if needed
  • Ability to engage and support pupils
  • Supervising pupils behaviour
  • Supporting the pupils learning development

Job Requirements
  • Experience of supporting children or young adults
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively
  • Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging Behaviour
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available to commit 5-days a week for at least 3-6 months
