Job Description

Smart Solutions are working with an innovative waste management client based in the Swansea area who capture household and commerical recyclable materials and transfer these waste materials into market-ready products. They are in the process of expandingtheir operations and seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer.Duties ofElectrical Maintenance Engineer:

Supporting the electrical installation requirements of a variety of key projects meeting instructed timescales.
Resolving production plant breakdowns promptly & efficiently minimising unplanned downtime.
Supporting allocated maintenance time for all plant by performance routine maintenance activities.
Working with the Site Manager and wider technical team on the continuous improvement program including suggesting and delivering improvements and targets.
Undertaking any allocated jobs as directed by the Manager ensuring that all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner.
Work with all site staff to continue to drive the standards of health & safety. Where Health & Safety is seen to be below standard, to intervene, correct and report on poor practice.
Recording accidents & near misses as per the company procedure.

Requirements of theElectrical Maintenance Engineer:

Previous experience of working in the manufacturing industry in a maintenance role.
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical disciplines.
Knowledge of safety circuits, Invertors, how relays operate, speed control systems.
A mechanical understanding would be advantageousgearboxes, pumps, pneumatics.
