Wathwood Hospital is a Medium Secure Unit in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.The psychological therapies team are seeking to appoint a part-time registered clinical or forensic psychologist or CAT Therapist (22.5 or 30 hours a week).Wathwood Hospital is a purpose-built, 76 bed adult, male, medium secure unit. Located in its own grounds and surrounded by open countryside and woods, it caters for those aged 18 and above who require assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties in a secure environment. The hospital has an excellent reputation and prides itself on its patient focus.Wathwood Hospital is part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare which is one of the country’s leading mental health and learning disability service providers.Reporting to the Psychology Team Lead, the post holder will work with a specialist multidisciplinary team that values psychological approaches. You will provide comprehensive psychological assessments, formulations and interventions. As part of the role, you will also contribute to the development and evaluation of specialist treatment programmes, tailored to the complex mental health and offending behaviour needs of this population.You will be encouraged to conduct service evaluation / research and promote the service as a center of excellence. Professional development is actively supported and supervision is a priority.Candidates must be registered with the HCPC as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist or registered with ACAT as a CAT Therapist (or be a trainee eligible for registration in 6 months).Interviews are likely to be held remotely using MS Teams on 3rd December 2020.#WeAreTheNHS campaign*The closing date given is a guide.
