Job Description

Our client are an established, industry leading manufacturing business currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quality Technician to join their team.Overall Purpose:

  • To assist, supervise and improve all aspects of Quality within the production department working primarily within the Clean Room Environment and Mould Shop.
  • Provide Quality support within Clean Room whilst liaising with Production Management and Quality Department to maintain and drive continual improvement.
Key Duties:
  • Supervise all Quality Technician activities across the site in both the Cleanroom & Mould Shop areas.
  • Implement and facilitate continuous improvement across both the Clean Room and Mould Shop areas.
  • Distribute workload throughout QT Team appropriately and ensure training is conducted to a high standard.
  • Manage and prioritise workload for Quality Technicians where appropriate.
  • Develop quality control plans for all products.
  • Carry out Quality Control inspection and testing on work in progress and finished goods in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure compliance to specifications and customer delivery requirements.
  • Prepare production part approvals and (Initial sample inspection report) ISIR submissions including required measurement activity.
  • Maintain Calibration of equipment and records within the department where appropriate.
  • Assist in the development of new products, procedures and projects.
  • Implementation and completion of engineering changes in a timely manner including all documentation.
  • Oversee production trials for new and modified products within the department.
  • Investigate quality issues.
  • Support the Quality and Production Departments in the roll out of Quality initiatives.
  • Carry out reasonable tasks or additional duties as and when required by line manager and senior management.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Recognised Quality Qualification at Level 3 equivalent and/or above or relevant vocational experience.
  • Quality experience within medical manufacturing including ISO9001 and ISO13485 and related auditing experience.
  • Good standard of computer literacy and relevant software packages including: Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of using ERP System such as Syspro and quality management system such as QPulse.
The Package:
  • £32,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • 2 shift pattern: Shift One, Monday to Thursday - 6am to 2.14pm, Friday 6am to 12.14pm & Shift Two Monday to Thursday - 2pm to 10.14pm, Friday 12pm to 6.14pm.
