Job Description

BMC Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working alongside an established business in the Washington area who are currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a 6 month contract.Part time - 2-3 days a weekJob Duties:* Processing of Purchase and Sales invoices* Reconciliation of Supplier statements* Prepare/Issue customer statements of account* Following up on overdue accounts* Setting up Supplier accounts information* Collation of project cost information and invoices* Assisting with month end close* Assisting with audits* Any other related administrative dutiesExperience Required: * Previous purchase ledger experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment and with a good understanding of the end to end Purchase to Pay process.* Experience using E-max (or similar ERP system) and Xero accounts package an advantage.* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Skills & Attributes Required: * Ability to resolve and reconcile issues with limited supervision* Excellent communication skills and organisational skills* Ability to work to deadlines* Competent in analysis and interpretation of information.* Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy, attention to detail* Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in developing relationships with internal customers.* Prepared to take ownership of tasks and outputsRecognised qualifications such as AAT would be desirable.
