Job Description

If youre ready to take the next step in your career, read on!You can expect a salary range of £28,500 to £32,500 (negotiable based on your skills and experience).Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 4-day workweek from Monday to Wednesday (07:00 - 17:30) and Thursday (07:00 - 16:20), with the option for overtime on Fridays paid at time and a half.Company Benefits: Our client offers a comprehensive package, including a Company Pension Scheme, Free On-site Parking, and a Bonus Scheme (Subject to Company Profitability).Key Responsibilities: As a Maintenance Technician, your role will involve a wide range of tasks, such as:

  • Conducting reactive and preventive maintenance on CNC/Manual machinery.
  • Performing tooling repairs.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults in CNC/Manual machinery.
  • Engaging in hand fitting and fabrication, including MIG & TIG welding.
  • Mentoring and training apprentices.
  • Actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assisting with shop floor projects, including machinery relocation and reassembly.
Qualifications/Experience Required: To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
  • A time-served Mechanical Fitter/Technician background.
  • Proven experience in maintenance on CNC/Manual machinery.
  • NVQ or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering (highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in Gearboxes, Motors, Hydraulics & Pneumatics.
  • Expertise in hand fitting and fabrication, including MIG & TIG welding.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Strong background in machinery maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Comfortable working at heights using access equipment such as MEWPs, Scissor Lifts, Scaffold Towers, etc.
  • Experience in tool repairing.
  • Familiarity with shop floor projects, including machinery relocation with minimal disruption to the production process.
