You will be responsible for ensuring that equipment performs correctly and is controlled to ensure parts production andquality demands are met. You will follow SQCDM methodology. • Ensure product changes and setups are carried out safely to the required standard
• Ensure all product meets the required quality standards
• Ensure tooling / equipment concerns are corrected / escalated
• Ensure product changeovers are planned to achieve shift schedule
• Identify potential problems with equipment and tooling are identified quickly through PLM/PM.
• Ensure periodic PLM/PM schedule is adhered too.
• Ensure checks are carried out and any inconsistencies rectified/escalated to ME.
• Work with the Coordinators and Lead Operators to ensure that the build plan is achieved each shift, with gaps identified and counter measures put in place to allow the following shift to catch back.
• Carrying out audits of the area and equipment and escalate any concerns to the ME Engineer
• Ensure any unsafe acts are reported and dealt with by the relevant department.
• Ensure 5S standards are maintained in all areas.
• Implement and support improvement plan from 5S Audit.
• Ensure start up safety checks are complete and concerns escalated
• Ensure all KPI’s are met or exceeded as outlined in the job description.
• Ability to carry out first line fault finding and troubleshooting for any equipment or process with Mould, Foam or Paint (this is not limited to one area).
• Cross Function - Ability to support Maintenance/tooling/Quality/Production with in depth process knowledge to ensure rapid solution to equipment/tooling being unavailable.

About You;

• Experience within High Paced Automotive environment will be beneficial
• Experience in Maintenance/Engineering functions within the Automotive Industry (not essential).
• Assembly manufacturing experience is beneficial.
• A team player.
• Experienced in modern assembly and Automation techniques.
• Experience in Pressed parts and assembly of Parts.
• Knowledge of MIG Welding, pneumatics, and mechanical systems advantageous.
• Proven experience of basic maintenance activities in a production environment.
• Computer literate with good written and oral communication skills.
• Capable of working safely from own initiative within limits of knowledge, capability and experience.

• Educated to minimum of BTEC Level 3 or NVQ equivalent.
• Manufacturing/engineering/Technical apprenticeship will be an advantage.
• Candidates with considerable/specific experience will be considered on merit. This includes specific qualifications within molding/foaming/assembly/painting/maintenance/technical roles.
